Getting started with Oliver POS

This is a placeholder knowledge-base article. The basic structure is in place — replace this content with the actual setup instructions when you're ready.

Before you start

  • A live WooCommerce store running on WordPress 6.0 or newer.
  • An admin login for that WordPress site.
  • A tablet or laptop with a modern browser to run the register on.

Install the plugin

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New and search for "Oliver POS".
  2. Click Install Now, then Activate.
  3. Follow the in-plugin prompt to create your Oliver POS account.

Make your first sale

  1. Open the register on your counter device and sign in with the PIN you just created.
  2. Add a product to the cart, tap Charge, and choose a payment method.
  3. The order syncs back to WooCommerce automatically — confirm it appears under WooCommerce → Orders.

That's the whole process. Everything else in the knowledge base—payments, hardware, inventory, troubleshooting—builds on this same model of using WooCommerce as the single source of truth.
