FAQ

Hardware questions, answered.

Do I have to use Oliver Pay to use this hardware?
The Stripe Terminal devices (S700, WisePOS E, WisePad 3, Reader M2) are tied to Stripe and need an Oliver Pay account to take cards. The Sunmi D3 Pro is hardware-only — pair it with any payment method Oliver supports, including non-Stripe gateways.
Why route checkout through Stripe and not your own cart?
Less moving parts, more trust. Stripe already handles your payments — we did not see a good reason to invent a second checkout, a second tax engine, and a second fulfilment pipeline. Everything ships out of Stripe Terminal's existing logistics.
Where do you ship?
United States, Canada, United Kingdom, EU, Australia and New Zealand on day one. We'll add Norway, Sweden and Denmark as soon as Stripe Terminal does.
Can I return a device if it's not the right fit?
Yes. 30-day return window on any device in unused condition. Stripe issues the refund to the original payment method, usually within 5 business days.
What's the warranty?
12 months manufacturer warranty on Stripe Terminal hardware (Verifone, BBPOS). 24 months on Sunmi. We handle the RMA — write to hardware@oliverpos.com.
I already own a terminal. Will it work with Oliver?
If it's a Stripe Terminal device, almost certainly yes — Oliver will discover it the first time you sign in. For Verifone, Pax, Ingenico or Sumup devices on other gateways, check the compatibility matrix first.
