Adyen for WooCommerce POS

Adyen is the processor a retailer chooses when they outgrow Stripe and PayPal. It supports more local payment methods out of the box (iDEAL, Bancontact, P24, OXXO, etc.), offers interchange-plus pricing for high-volume businesses, and has the most flexible account management for omnichannel operations. Big retailers like Uniqlo, Lego, and L'Oréal process global card payments through Adyen.

The official Adyen Payment Module for WooCommerce provides access to Adyen's Web Drop-in and Pay by Link products. Oliver POS uses the Web Drop-in flow at the register: the cashier rings up the sale, Oliver POS opens Adyen's hosted page in the in-POS browser view, the customer selects their payment method (card, local payment network, wallet), and Adyen handles the rest. SCA, 3-D Secure, and fraud scoring are all done on Adyen's side.

The key advantage for European retailers is that Adyen supports iDEAL, Bancontact, Sofort, Klarna, EPS, and a long list of other country-specific payment methods in a single integration. From the Oliver POS register, the customer simply picks their preferred method from Adyen's payment interface, the same way they would on the online checkout.

Choose Adyen for your Oliver POS if you are a mid-market or enterprise retailer with European, UK, or global expansion plans, if you need a single processor across many countries, or if you're negotiating interchange-plus pricing and need an account manager. If your shop makes a few hundred thousand a year in revenue, Stripe or PayPal is usually simpler — Adyen is most beneficial at higher volumes.
