Amazon Pay for WooCommerce POS
Let customers check out with their Amazon login inside the Oliver POS browser view.
Powered through the Amazon Pay for WooCommerce plugin — install it on WordPress, configure under WooCommerce → Settings → Payments, and Oliver picks it up at the register automatically.
How Amazon Pay works with Oliver POS for WooCommerce
Amazon Pay lets customers pay with the card, address, and identity already saved in their Amazon account. Oliver POS opens the Amazon Pay redirect inside the in-POS browser view so the customer can authenticate with their Amazon credentials at the counter.
Amazon Pay is Amazon's wallet for non-Amazon stores
Amazon Pay allows a customer to pay on a merchant's site using the cards and addresses already saved in their Amazon account. The merchant never sees the card number—only Amazon does. For e-commerce, this saves the customer from having to type their card details into a new site. At the Oliver POS counter, it means the customer doesn't even need to pull out their wallet.
Amazon Pay at the Oliver POS register
The cashier selects Amazon Pay on the Oliver register. Oliver then opens the Amazon login page inside the in-POS browser view. The customer logs into their Amazon account (using their phone's saved password or biometrics) and approves the payment. Amazon processes the payment using the card on file, and Oliver records the WooCommerce order.
Who actually uses this at a counter?
A small but growing number of customers—especially in Germany and the UK where Amazon Pay is popular—prefer to pay with their Amazon login instead of typing in their card details. It also works very well as a backup option when a customer has forgotten their wallet but still remembers their Amazon password.
Best fit for retailers who…
Enable Amazon Pay at the Oliver POS if you already accept it online (especially in Germany or the UK), if you have a customer base that frequently uses Amazon, or if you want another seamless payment option for customers who've forgotten their physical wallet.
