Affirm for WooCommerce POS

All three offer a Pay-in-4 plan. What makes Affirm different is its longer-term financing options—3, 6, or 12 months—for more expensive purchases. While Afterpay is usually for smaller, fashion-style purchases, Affirm regularly finances purchases from $1,500 to $5,000 (like mattresses, bikes, audio equipment, and furniture).

The Affirm WooCommerce plugin opens Affirm's hosted decision page. From the Oliver register, the cashier selects Affirm. Oliver then opens the page in the in-POS browser view. The customer enters their phone number, receives a one-time password (OTP), picks their financing term, and Affirm approves the loan on the spot. The merchant gets paid in full, while the customer pays Affirm based on the schedule they chose.

For products in the $500-$5,000 range, Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) or financing can turn a customer's "I'll come back on payday" into "I'll take it today." The retailer's conversion rate on expensive items noticeably improves, and the average order value also tends to increase (customers who use financing often buy a slightly better version of the item they originally came for).

Choose Affirm at the Oliver POS if you sell goods for the US market in the $500+ range, especially furniture, mattresses, bikes, electronics, jewelry, or specialty equipment. The merchant fee is a bit steep (3-6%), but it often pays for itself with the increase in sales.
