Google Pay for WooCommerce POS
Google Pay at the Oliver POS register, via your existing WooCommerce gateway.
Powered through the Any Google Pay-capable WooCommerce gateway plugin plugin — install it on WordPress, configure under WooCommerce → Settings → Payments, and Oliver picks it up at the register automatically.
How Google Pay works with Oliver POS for WooCommerce
Like Apple Pay, Google Pay is a wallet that lives on top of your real processor. Oliver POS surfaces Google Pay automatically inside the in-POS browser view whenever your WooCommerce gateway (Stripe, Adyen, Mollie, Checkout.com, etc.) has it enabled.
Google Pay is the Android-friendly counterpart to Apple Pay
Google Pay (also called Google Wallet) does the same job as Apple Pay for Android users. Cards saved in the Google Wallet on the customer's phone produce a tokenised credential that whichever WooCommerce gateway you use can charge. The gateways that support Google Pay on Web include Stripe, Adyen, Mollie, Checkout.com, Braintree, Worldpay, and Square.
Google Pay in the Oliver POS browser view
On the register, the cashier picks the WooCommerce gateway and Oliver opens its hosted checkout in the in-POS browser view. If Google Pay is enabled, the button appears alongside cards. The customer can tap-to-confirm on their own Android phone via their saved wallet, or they can hand the iPad to a friend with an Android phone, or — depending on the gateway and region — use the on-device wallet if you sell from an Android tablet.
No domain verification for Google Pay on web
Unlike Apple Pay, Google Pay on Web does not require per-domain verification. As long as your WooCommerce site is served over HTTPS and the gateway plugin has Google Pay enabled, Oliver POS shows it at the counter inside the in-POS browser view.
Best fit for retailers who…
Turn on Google Pay at the Oliver POS in any market with significant Android share (most of Europe, LATAM, India, and Southeast Asia). It pairs nicely with Apple Pay so you cover both halves of the smartphone market with one tap.

Common questions about Google Pay on Oliver POS
Does Oliver POS have a partnership with Google Pay?
No. Oliver doesn't partner with Google Pay or any other payment gateway. We support Google Pay because it ships a WooCommerce gateway plugin — Oliver opens the hosted checkout inside the in-POS browser view. Your account, your rates, and your support contract stay between you and Google Pay.
Does Oliver charge extra to use Google Pay?
No. You pay Google Pay's standard published rates directly to Google Pay. Oliver doesn't take a markup, doesn't insert itself into the money flow, and doesn't charge a per-transaction fee on top.
