How Splitit works with Oliver POS for WooCommerce
Splitit is a BNPL provider that splits a purchase across the customer's existing credit card rather than issuing a new credit line. Oliver POS opens the Splitit hosted page inside the in-POS browser view.
Splitit's differentiator
Most BNPL providers (Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay) underwrite a new credit decision. Splitit doesn't — it puts a hold on the customer's existing credit-card limit and charges that card in instalments. There's no new credit line, no new account, and no risk of declining the customer's "approval."
Splitit at the Oliver POS register
The Splitit WooCommerce plugin opens Splitit's hosted page. From the Oliver register, the cashier picks Splitit; Oliver opens the page in the in-POS browser view; the customer enters their existing credit card; Splitit places a hold equal to the full purchase and charges the card in monthly instalments. Oliver records the WooCommerce order.
Best for higher-end retail
Splitit works well in jewellery, watches, luxury goods, and specialty equipment where the customer has the credit limit but doesn't want to put the full charge on their card this month. It avoids the perception problem some BNPL options carry of "customer can't actually afford this."
Best fit for retailers who…
Pick Splitit at the Oliver POS if you sell premium goods where your customers have credit limits and want a way to spread payments without a new credit application — particularly jewellery, watches, art, and high-end specialty retail.
