How Swish works with Oliver POS for WooCommerce

Swish is owned by the Swedish banks and used by ~8 million Swedish adults. Oliver POS opens Swish's hosted approval inside the in-POS browser view via the Swish for WooCommerce plugin — the customer pays from their phone in 5 seconds.

Swish in Sweden

Swish is jointly owned by the seven major Swedish banks and operated by the central instant-payment system. Roughly 8 million Swedish adults use it, which is more or less the entire adult population that owns a smartphone. For a Swedish WooCommerce retailer, Swish is the de-facto consumer expectation alongside cards.

Oliver POS + Swish via the WooCommerce plugin

Swedish WooCommerce stores typically run one of several Swish plugins — the official Svea/Klarna-bundled integration, the Bambora/Worldline plugin, or a dedicated Swish for WooCommerce extension. Whichever you use, Oliver POS surfaces Swish at the register: the cashier picks Swish, Oliver opens the Swish approval inside the in-POS browser view, the customer scans the QR with their bank's Swish app, approves with BankID, and Oliver writes the WooCommerce order.

Swish-handel and B2B Swish

Swish Handel is the merchant variant of consumer Swish, used by businesses to accept Swish payments. The WooCommerce plugins all use Swish Handel; nothing special needs to happen on the Oliver side. If your business is also enrolled for Swish B2B (Företag), the same plugin handles corporate Swish payments.

Best fit for retailers who…

If you sell to Swedish consumers in a physical shop, Swish at the Oliver POS is mandatory. Pair it with Klarna for BNPL options and Stripe Checkout or Bambora for international card-present fallback.
